First smell out of the glass is dried apricots. The flavors start to build up with fleshy pear, then on to rich white melon. There is a slight lingering impression of fresh Filberts. The firm acid and alcohol structure of the finish give a sense of “grown up discipline”, against all that “youthful exuberance” of lush fruit. A very well balanced wine for food pairing allows the experimental chef inside to go wild.
